UKRAINE AGRICULTURE PHOTO GALLERY

Global Ag Investments, LLC has just added the Ukraine location this past summer. The crops grown in this region by Global Ag Investments - Ukraine are winter wheat, rapeseed, winter barley. These have just been planted this past September during the winter planting season. This spring, Global Ag will also be planting sunflower and sorghum.

EQUIPMENT ARRIVES: The Amity seeder arrived and took 9 days from start to assemble to operation.

PLANTING WITH THE AMITY SEEDER: After assembling, the amity has been put directly to use planting fall crops. These are a collection of photos from the first use to the last planting of barley with the Amity.

WINTER CROP PLANTING SEASON BEGINS: During the month of September, winter crops of wheat, rape seed and barley were planted. This shows some early planted crops going in. A Horsch was rented and used until the Amity arrived and was ready for use. Time was saved by having the Amity planting by getting as much done in about half the time. (Shown above with the amity pictures.)

This first photo is how the wheat was delivered for planting. Wheat is delivered in bulk and needs to be taken out by manual labor. This was the first load.

AUGUST 2008

EQUIPMENT ARRIVES: The sprayer arrived late August and was put to use right away in September. Assembly took six days.

FIELDWORK BEGINS WITH NEW TRACTORS: The DMI Cultivator and new John Deere track tractors were put to work right away prepping the fields for planting this fall. Some areas needed the cultivator to start new for Global Ag Investments - Ukraine. These will begin transition to the preferred No-Till method this spring.

EQUIPMENT ARRIVES: Tractors arrive at the Global Ag Investments - Ukraine site in crates. There are two track tractors; each takes 3.5 days to assemble.

EQUIPMENT ARRIVES: A DMI cultivator for initial field preparation arrived and took about 3 days from assembly to ready to use in the fields. The use of the cultivator gives Global Ag Investments - Ukraine a fresh start in field preparation to get the quality of the land to transition to the No-Till method of farming. There are a small portion of acres that are No-Till from the start and more should be ready in the spring because of fall planting.
